Crisis Accommodation
Crisis Accommodation
The crisis accommodation is in our shelter – a purpose-built house with separate wings for girls and boys.
The shelter is located at 4 Goldsmith Street, across from Queens Park.
It can accommodate 6 people.
The crisis accommodation and support is designed to meet a young person’s immediate need for shelter, and then to provide assistance to longer-term housing or move back home if possible.
We provide case management which is client centred and focused on helping the young person set and achieve their goals also includes referring and assisting the young person to access the support services they require.
Residents can enjoy hanging out in the lounge room, on the back deck, or in the garden. Activities such as sports, fishing, gardening and arts & craft are available for those residents who are interested in participating. Meals/snacks are provided, young people share cooking and other household duties with support from staff so they are able to acquire life skills. All residents are required to help with keeping the shelter clean and tidy.
The shelter is wheelchair accessible.
